Preparation
Freshly brewed espresso is a must – this drink simply doesn’t taste good lukewarm.
Place all the ingredients in a shaker with ice and shake vigorously until a thick, velvety crema forms.
Then pour through a sieve into a chilled martini bowl.
Garnishwith three coffee beans – they traditionally stand for health, wealth and happiness.
Strong, elegant and with a perfect aftertaste – this drink is a dessert, espresso and party starter all in one.
Recipe story
London, 1980s. A young model enters a bar and says to the bartender:
“Make me something that wakes me up – and then knocks me out.”
The bartender was Dick Bradsell, and his drink became legendary: the Espresso Martini.
An alert, elegant cocktail that combines caffeine with alcohol so charmingly that it is still considered the drink for night owls today.
